Qns. : Has the work
on the gas pipeline from Oman to the Indian coast begun or it’s still being
discussed?
After
meeting with HE The Petroleum Minister of Oman during my Oman visit and his
assurance to go ahead on this project. We had a meeting with our Honorable
Petroleum Minister, who was also in favour of this project. THE GAS HIGHWAY
–Oman India Pipeline. My plan was to start on 25 December 2015 on the occasion
of The Birthday of our Honorable Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari
Vajpayee and this 25th December is also celebrated in India as “Good
Governance Day”, but the talks between both the Government is scheduled as per
my information from Bloomberg News. We are in constant touch with Government
agencies and hopeful about to have the opportunity to make THE GAS HIGHWAY in
EXISTENCE. But it will all depend on Oman and India Government, where we will
put our 100% money with no tax relaxation as well as The Project will be fully
insured by Group of Insurance Company worth damage include 120%.
Qns. Is your
project expected to bypass Pakistan's seabed territory?
Yes.
200% sure we will bypass Pakistan’s water body. It will be on Oman and India
EEZ zone with some portion in Independent Water Body. I don’t want any trouble
on my investors money, hence I have to think twice before getting into
Pakistan’s territory. We have decided the path in the very beginning to avoid
Pakistan’s water body. It has some reason, it will not be easy for my Company
and my Government to conclude easily if it goes thru Pakistan’s territory and
off course even I don’t want to have trouble of sanction and other kind of stop
over in the middle of the job in the future during running the project.
The
Proposed route for THE GAS HIGHWAY (Oman India Pipeline)
The
Pakistan’s new
Qns. If yes, are you facing hurdles because now
it appears Pakistan’s seabed territory has been further extended by 50,000sqkm
in UN regulation this March? What will be the structure and layout of the
pipeline in the Arabian Sea like?
Ans.
: It is pre-decided by us not to go thru Pakistan’s water body. And it is not
due to the relation between India and Pakistan, but as during our study time of
Arabian Sea, we have seen very much turbulence in taking Pipeline thru –
Pakistan’s water body despite it is very close and short distance. The water
body nearby Pakistan’s territory is very much dissimilar compared to route we
are following. Here is the route for your refrence.
Qns. Is your
project different from what SAGE proposes to do? They seem to be facing issues
with the UN ruling.
Ans.
No, we are not rival Company to anyone in undersea pipeline. They are working
the project like this since 25 odd years or more. But, my plan is different
from them as per my information – Oman and Iran Signed a contract to develop a
seabed pipeline to connect Iran to Oman, than for me it is good not to kill
time in Iran India Pipeline thought. And, Sage has a Plan to develop something
very very big and we are just small portion of it without any conflict between
two countries and it can be used for many Countries in future like Qatar, and
in future if Saudi Arabia Opens Gas for international market. My project is
between two Government and it is upto the Government to conclude and set us to
go ahead. WE ARE READY TO GET INTO WATER AS SOON AS WE GET A “GO”.
Thank
You.
